For many of our roles, you don't need a background in mental health; an interest in and passion for improving mental health and wellbeing across Lancashire is what's important.

Lancashire Mind is an equal opportunities employer

We want to be a great place to work for everyone, regardless of their background or characteristics. Our goal is to ensure that our team is representative of the diverse communities across Lancashire. We particularly encourage applications from people in communities that face mental health inequalities and from anyone with experience of living with a mental health condition. We are a Disability Confident Committed employer and encourage and support people with disabilities to work with us.

Lancashire Mind commits to a workplace wellbeing programme to maintain staff wellbeing, this includes:

  • An Employee Assistance Programme that offers free and confidential advice, guidance and counselling services
  • Wellbeing activities to support the team throughout the year
  • A workplace pension scheme
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and 3 additional days usually during the Christmas and New Year break (pro rata for part-time staff)
  • A half-day paid wellbeing day for all staff
  • Paid time off to manage unexpected life events (e.g. illness of a dependent)
  • A contractual sick pay scheme
  • Regular supervisions and a commitment to supporting learning and development opportunities

Above all, we are a friendly and supportive place to work

Our current team members will tell you that the biggest plus is joining a team who are passionate, dedicated and committed to making a difference to the lives of others.

Some of our job roles require significant travel across the county of Lancashire and we reimburse all reasonable travel expenses. Some roles also require occasional evening and weekend work – any hours worked above your usual weekly hours can be taken back at a later date.

Lancashire Mind work with children and adults who may be at risk of abuse, therefore we follow safer recruitment practice and every role within the organisation is subject to a DBS check (level of check is dependent on the nature of the role) and receipt of two satisfactory references.
