World Mental Health Day 2022
We are standing together and turning Lancashire Blue for World Mental Health Day 2022.
We need you! Will you join us?
World Mental Health Day is a chance to talk about how important it is as individuals and as communities to look after our mental health, how important it is to speak up when we need help and notice when others around us may need help.
This year to mark this important day we are going #BlueforLancashire and we want you to go blue too!
How to join us
On Monday 10th October, to show our support for better mental health for all in Lancashire, we are:
- Turning famous Lancashire landmarks blue
- Encouraging everyone across Lancashire to wear something blue for the day
Where to join us
- Preston Flag Market (8th October)
- Blackpool Tower
- Blackburn Cathedral
- Chorley Market Place
- Ashton Memorial, Williamson Park Lancaster
- Your office
- Your school
- Your home
We are going blue because blue is the colour of Lancashire Mind. Blue can attract negative associations and is used in terms such as ‘feeling blue’. We want to challenge and change those thoughts because at Lancashire Mind we are proud to be blue! For us, blue represents a powerful movement of volunteers, supporters, staff and trustees committed to better mental health for all.
Join our teams at Blackpool Tower or Blackburn Cathedral between 5pm and 9pm and stand with us. Take a selfie, tag us and use #BlueforLancashire to join our campaign.
Can’t make it? Don’t worry you can go #BlueforLancashire from your home or workplace too. All you need to do is wear something blue on World Mental Health Day. Take a photo, tag us and use #BlueforLancashire to join our campaign.
Why not get your school, colleagues or community group involved and go #BlueforLancashire together?
