Thank you to our Cross Bay Walk 2023 supporters.
165 people joined Lancashire Mind to take part in walk in memory of Sian Waterhouse raising over £3,200.
Thank you to our amazing Cross Bay Walkers who have raised over £3,200. This could enable us to offer 53 hours of 121 wellbeing coaching for people facing barriers to good mental health. Coaching can change lives as it gives individuals the chance to overcome those barriers with coping strategies they can use now and in the future.
‘A unique event…’
Community Fundraising and Events coordinator, Nicola Tomkins said, “This was the first time that I have had the opportunity to take part in this event and I am so glad I did. The atmosphere throughout the walk was wonderful and everyone was chatting whilst walking and taking in the beautiful scenery. I will definitely be bringing my children to join me next year (aged 6 and 8 years), they would really enjoy it. Such an amazing experience to take part in a unique event and raise vital funds for Lancashire Mind!”
Lancashire Mind CEO, David Dunwell added, “The walk itself was a great experience, and to have raised over £3,200 through the Cross Bay Walk this year is just amazing. I would like to thank all our supporters who took part or donated. The walk, which raises funds for Lancashire Mind in memory of Morecambe teenager Sian Waterhouse, contributes towards a total of over £50,000 raised to date for Lancashire Mind from her loved ones. I would like to thank Sians’ friends and family for their continued support and commitment to this event.”
Thank you to Steve Bradley Photography. Steve kindly volunteered his services for the event so Lancashire Mind could share photos from the day.
With such fantastic feedback from this years walk, please keep an eye out for next years dates, where we would love you to join us on this unique experience, once again.
